Governance
The Global Collaboratory for Drylands and the city is an unincorporated joint venture of its seven founding members. Governance for the organization was established by its Bylaws, unanimously accepted by the member institutions on February 21, 2008. Each member appoints a representative to the Plenary Board, which is the governing body of the collaboratory. Meetings may be held in person or electronically by teleconference or by email. All actions are taken by a majority vote of the members participating. The Plenary Board appoints an Executive Director and an Associate Director who is also Secretary of the Organization.
